  • Come watch the “Rockumentary”  that reveals the world’s 27 million dirtiest secrets: there are more slaves today than ever before in human history. CALL+RESPONSE goes deep undercover where slavery is thriving.  Interviews with luminaries such as Cornel West, Madeleine Albright, Julia Ormond, and Nicholas Kristof are interspersed with performances by artists including Natasha Bedingfield, Cold War Kids, Matisyahu, Imogen Heap, and Talib Kweli. 
  • The event will also feature a talk and Q&A session with Justin Dillon, musical artist and director of Call + Response.

Different Faces of Abolitionism: a Conversation about Domestic Trafficking

  • April 4, 5 PM, Lerner C555
  • A panel of experts will discuss issues surrounding domestic trafficking, particularly in New York City
  • The Panel will explore the mind, eyes, hands, heart, and soul of an abolitionist to help amateurs like us figure out how we can best join the modern abolitionist movement.

Columbia Responds: A Benefit Concert

  • April 8, 8 PM, Earl Hall Auditorium
  • Join us for the final night of the campaign as we listen to music from some of the best upcoming bands New York City has to offer.
  • The night will feature awesome music, videos about modern day slavery between the acts, and information about how you can be an abolitionist.
  • 5 Dollar Entrance fee - ALL funds go to GEMS and World Vision, two humanitarian organizations fighting modern day slavery.
